Larry founded and the President/CEO of Carr/White Insurance, Inc., an Independent Agency in Mesa, Arizona.  Twenty three years after start-up, based on national trade association studies, the firm rated in the top largest 15% tier of independent insurance agencies in the nation.

After selling Carr/White Insurance, Inc., Carr organized IMIS Co (“Insurance Management Information Systems”).  IMIS Co did not sell insurance.  This firm instead provided insurance and risk management services for business firms lacking their own in-house Risk Management Department.  IMIS activities included identification of potential business losses, design of risk assumption techniques, drafting of insurance specifications, solicitation of bid proposals from various insurance agents/companies, and finally an analysis of all proposals based on a single set of predetermined specifications.

Carr is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BA in Business, a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), past President of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Arizona; and for several years, Arizona’s “State National Director” to the Independent Insurance Agents of America.  He has received many honors and awards from the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Arizona, including it's highest recognition ─ the Hall of Fame award.

Carr has been involved in many area community activities. He and his wife live in Queen Creek, AZ. Their married daughter and family live in another state.  Their married son and family live in Gilbert, AZ.
